Michelle Mille, a.k.a. “The Farm Babe”

Michelle Miller, aka “The Farm Babe,” is an Iowa-based farmer, public speaker, and writer, who works on the family farm which consists of row crops, beef cattle, and sheep. Michelle believes education and humor are key to bridging the gap between farmers and consumers. Critical of those that marginalize farmers and farming, she has been a powerful voice for agriculture and associated technologies. Michelle has been featured in Forbes as one of the most reputable and followed farmers on social media and is a weekly columnist at www.agdaily.com.

Matt Rush, Inspirational Speaker & Farm Boy

Matt Rush is the 4th generation in his family to be a New Mexico farmer and cattle rancher. He graduated valedictorian of his high school class. Of course, he was only one of 6. He says, “You know you’re from a small town when to be in the top 10% you have to be number one!”

He and his dad partner on a farming and ranching operation and to support his farming habit, Rush travels the country as a professional speaker conducting leadership and motivational seminars. He serves Executive Vice President of the New Mexico Farm & Livestock Bureau.

 
 
 

lia Biondo, United States Cattlemen’s Association

Lia Biondo joined Western Skies Strategies in October 2015. Since then, she has helped associations and individuals successfully navigate Capitol Hill and build relationships with key Administration officials and industry leaders. With clients like the United States Cattlemen’s Association, Society for Range Management, and the Rural & Agriculture Council of America, the team at WSS continues to strengthen the grassroots network of its clients in the Beltway and beyond by delivering a message that informs, engages, and activates stakeholders. 

Lia currently serves as the Vice Chair of the National Horse & Burro Rangeland Management Coalition, a consortium of 18 national groups that advocate for healthy horses on healthy rangelands. Through her role with the United States Cattlemen’s Association, she has also led the national conversation on the labeling of alternative proteins for retail distribution, such as plant-based burgers and lab-grown muscle tissue. She has been featured on CNBC, The Washington Post, the BBC, RFD-TV, and others and has presented in front of the National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics.

Originally from the “Mitten State”, Lia graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Environmental Studies and Agriscience. When she’s not in the District, you’ll find her at the barn, in the woods, or on the water.
